It is programmable because it allows you to extend the brushing time by another 30 seconds so that you can focus on problem areas.

How it Works

The Programmable Quadpacer feature allows you to adjust the Quadpacer performance in 1 of 3 ways:

1. Keep the factory default setting of a 2 minute brushing time with Quadpacer beeps activated.
2. Choose to extend your brushing time to 2 ½ minutes by adding an additional timing interval of 30 seconds.
3. Choose a 2 minute brushing time, but with the Quadpacer beeps turned off.

To change the Quadpacer settings:

1. Place the handle into the charger base that is plugged into a live electrical outlet.
2. Press the Dual Speed Control button briefly and note which LED (light display) is shown. Release

When the battery reaches full charge, the blinking LEDs are replaced by a steady glow of the entire LED array. About once per minute, the charge indicator LEDs extinguish momentarily and then restore to a steady glow. This indicates that the battery is being maintained at full charge. The full charge indication will persist until the handle is removed from the charger base.

How Smartimer Works

It's simple. After 2 minutes, your Sonicare shuts off. If at any time during brushing you momentarily stop the brush to rinse or apply more toothpaste, the Smartimer pauses its timing so that you can pick up where you left off.

  Although 2 minutes is recommended for optimal results, you can always stop or restart the brush at any time by pressing the power button.
